Control of Substances Hazardous to Health

The responsibility for all hazardous substances stops at your door, as the employer.

It is up to you, then, to know exactly what hazardous substances are being used, and making sure that they are being controlled properly. If a safer alternative is available, use it wherever possible.

Employees

Once again, responsibility lies with the employer to train employees in the danger of hazardous substances they will work with, and in the use of their controls. These may be simply using appropriate protective clothing, or proper storage.

The Company Policy Manual, or Document, is critical to your business. You must have one, and it has to be available for inspection.

We can help you to create a Policy Document from scratch, or to revise one you already have. We will provide it in digital format on a CD, which will enable you to print as many as you wish, and be able to amend as necessary in the future.
