Legionella Awareness Training
Who needs this qualification?
Inadequate management, lack of training and poor communication have all been contributory factors in outbreaks of Legionnaires' Disease. It is therefore crucial that responsible persons (a Manager, Director or someone with similar status or authority) are suitably trained, they should be aware of the risks from Legionella on their premisses, and how best to manage that.
Anyone with direct responsibility for managing a legionella control programme.

- History and information about Legionella bacteria and disease
- Legionella Company Policy
- Risk assessment – hot and cold water systems
- Controlling the risks
- Completion of checks
Outcome
At the end of the course the student will be able to complete the appropriate paperwork and have the general awareness required about Legionella.
